What We Do

Create LA provides hands on visual arts series of classes and workshops that foster creativity, collaboration, and skill building through the exploration of themes and media. Students are encouraged to take risks, generate original ideas, and create art that is an expression of their individual experiences. They will also have the opportunity to exhibit their artworks in our gallery space.

Classes will be taught by art educators, visiting artists in their area of expertise, as well as Keystone artists.

Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Find out how you can sign up here!

The unique thing about Create LA is that it shares a building with Keystone Art Space, which has over 50 working artists.

About Us

Create LA is committed to offering art instruction to area youth at no charge. Partnering with Keystone Art Space, Create LA educators will collaborate with Artists-in-Residence, as well as visiting artists, to provide various immersive fine art education opportunities to the young people of Los Angeles.

Create LA's kids will have the opportunity to work with on-site artists creating sculpture, paintings, printmaking, drawings, mixed media art and media installations. They will be learning art awareness and creation in tandem with practicing skill sets that apply across many industries. They will exhibit and promote their individual artistry from within a thriving work place and gallery alongside successful artists and caring educators.

The Create LA team consists of qualified educators, artists, and administrators who have been volunteering their time and energy to realize the dream of Free Art Classes for Los Angeles Kids.
